No matter what the circumstances may be, the advancements surrounding donor eggs and embryos has allowed for some incredible stories to unfold. Both heterosexual and gay couples have found success with donor eggs or embryos, and knowing what progress can be made allows for a more open-minded acceptance of standard procedures and final price points.
Donor Egg & Embryo Program
Egg donation is a treatment option for women whose eggs are unable to achieve a successful pregnancy. At Laurel Fertility Care (LFC) we encourage women to potentially utilize donor egg when faced with primary ovarian insufficiency (POI), menopause, diminished ovarian reserves, or genetic diseases, in order to achieve a healthy pregnancy for themselves or with a gestational carrier.
Research also shows that women over the age of 40 may choose to use a donor egg or donor embryo to avoid complications that may come along with giving birth later in life.
Our donor embryo program consists of donated embryos from prior patients who have completed their family and have chosen to donate their remaining cryopreserved embryos. Intended recipients are provided with demographic information that consists of age, ethnicity, heigh, weight, medical and family history and more. This program is anonymous, and the donating couple will not be provided with information on the recipient couple.
